A comfortable office reading retreat in a residential setting. The inspiration for the design is an integration of treasured family heirlooms and fresh new pieces with a quiet and refined tone. It features custom millwork designed and installed by H2 LLC Design Build. The client’s antiques were refreshed with careful cleaning and new upholstery fabric from Brunschwig and Fils. The reading chair is from J Lambeth.

A vacation home for a sophisticated family. The design intent is a light, airy vacation home to transport a busy family to a tropical retreat. The experience of the space is casual elegance created by the materials, colors and custom fabrications. Wicker furnishings are casual and comfortable. The sunny yellow is warm and joyful. The custom draperies and bed coverings add elegance, privacy and comfort.

A total redesign of the interior of a townhouse in Alexandria, Virginia. Soft blue green walls create a tranquil haven. This space combines old and new, luxurious textiles and “ready to wear” interior furnishings selected from a range of sources from Brunschwig and Fils to the Pottery Barn. New upholstered furnishings are from J. Lambeth and Random Harvest. The elegant chocolate signature lamps are from Julia Grey.

A contemporary kitchen for a modest home. American Arts and Crafts styling is reinterpreted for the 21st century with simple cherry cabinets and brushed stainless appliances. This small kitchen combines function with thoughtful scale, proportion and a warm palette.

A reception area designed to assimilate seamlessly with the existing architecture. The reception desk is a custom design to accommodate the uniquely shaped space and electronic work stations. The experience of the space is professional yet welcoming in a crisp contemporary context that reflects the corporate branding of the company. The materials blend effortlessly with the beautiful view.

An intimate feminine retreat that highlights sensuous color. The gentle ambient lighting from twin swing arm lamps catches the brass detail from the client’s existing white iron and brass bed frame. The room vignette features a custom designed and fabricated side table in soft spring green from Julia Grey. The custom fabricated bed coverings are Brunschwig and Fils. Flowers are by Helen Olivia.

Furniture and equipment plan for part of a 25,000 sf. Corporate installation in Tyson’s Corner, Virginia. The design included construction and demolition plans, reflected ceiling plan, telephone/signal plan, interior finish plan, all millwork details, and BTU loads for HVAC requirements. One of approximately 80 similar completed projects throughout 17 states.
